Questions from M:
What advice would you give your teenage/younger self?
I’ve still got 2 and a half months left of being a teenager, and I am holding onto that because being in my 20s scares me. I’ve already had too much of being an adult and I’ve not even been one for 2 years! So I guess some advice I’d give my younger self is to enjoy being young. Enjoy not having responsibilities, or having to make decisions or really think about your future.
I’d also say not to worry about what anyone thinks of you. Secondary school is the time to be weird, make friends and have fun. I wish I spent more time being weird and outgoing because it’s not something I could get away with so easily now, and the best memories I have are from when my friends and I were being crazy!
What are you most grateful for?
I’m just grateful for the life I’ve got now really, I have great family and friends, am able to access a good education and am happy with the opportunities I have.
If you could speak another language fluently, what language would you pick + why?
I’d pick French – I’m like an eighth French (impressive, I know), and some of my family speak French so I’d love to be able to speak it as well. I know a tiny bit already so I think it’d be the easiest to learn. Plus people are always so much nice to you when you try and speak their language!
If you could only take one album with you to a desert island (real essential, ik), which would you take?
Ooh this is a hard one. I change my mind a lot about which music I like a lot but at the moment I’m loving Melodrama by Lorde. I feel like so much thought went into each and every songs and it’s an amazing variety of songs that I think it would take a while to get bored of it (which would be great if I was stuck on a desert island!).
Do you have any regrets about your blog?
I always think it’s difficult to have regrets when I’m happy with where I am now. I’m so happy with how far I’ve come with this blog in a relatively short amount of time, so I can’t regret too much. I would say, though, that I wish I’d put more thought into blogging before I started. I didn’t really think about what I was going to blog about exactly, what my ‘niche’ would be or anything like that, which definitely would have helped in the long run!
I also regret that I’ve been neglecting my blog so much the past couple of weeks. I wrote a few blog posts in a rush before I went on holiday, but as I went to post them while I was away I just didn’t like them. I decided that I’d rather not post anything that post something I wasn’t happy with. I hope I can focus more on it now I’m back home!
